Technology: Nokia Android phone specifications leaked

  • Nokia has announced its comeback in the smartphone industry in 2017 and with this rumours around the company’s upcoming phones have started to gain speed. As Nokia is expected to return in the market with Android operating system, smartphone users are expecting a lot from the company this time.
    According to a leak in Weibo, the new Nokia Android phone will have either 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch screen with 2K display. The leak also stated that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. According to the leak, other specifications include:
    • a waterproof metal unibody design,
    • Carl Zeiss lens,
    • Qualcomm 430 chipset coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU,
    • 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM,
    • Android 7.0 Nougat.,
    • 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution,
    • A 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter
    In a separate leak, features of an entry-level device called Nokia Pixel were also spotted on Geekbenc. Nokia Pixel is rumoured to run on Android 7.0.1 Nougat. It is said to be backed by Qualcomm 200 processor clocked at 1.19GHz coupled with 1GB RAM.
    Smartphone market has drastically changed since the time Nokia took a back seat from the smartphone industry. So, now when it is making a comeback in 2017, its return and success will closely be watched by media and smartphone industry as well.
