WhatsApp may soon notify users of status change, low battery

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will notify users when there's a change in status of their contact. WABetaInfo , a WhatsApp's feature leaker, spotted a new Status tab for beta version Android 2.17.36 which will update the user when any contact of their will change his/her WhatsApp status.
Currently, user can see tabs for only contacts, chats and calls.  After the new update, user will see a changed interface with a new Status tab. According to screenshot  shared by WABetaInfo, this new tab will be placed between the chats and calls tabs.  

Not only this, the leaker has also shared screenshots in which WhatsApp displays a low battery warning during a WhatsApp call.
There have been several new rumours about WhatsApp in recent pas few days. The company is apparently also  working on a feature to edit and revoke WhatsApp messages. The feature has been spotted for beta version an may soon be available to all. According to the leak, sent messages on WhatsApp beta version iOS 2.17.1.869 will get a separate Revoke option which when clicked, would recall the sent message.
Reportedly, revoked messages are deleted from both the ends. Apparently, this feature will also works for photos and videos shared in the app. It is yet unclear when the  functionality will be available to all but iPhone user may soon get it first.
Only a week ago, WhatsApp released a new update for iOS users which will allow the users to queue up their messages during poor or no internet connectivity. The update was already available for Android users for quite some time and now is available for download on iPhones too.
